As mentioned in the July newsletter, we are holding an ‘All Volunteers Day’ on Sunday 18th October, 10am till 4pm.
As the name suggests, this event is designed for everybody and anybody involved with Scouts locally, so please join us if you can. We will try to make it a valuable use of time for everyone.
We will spend the morning discovering more about the new Scouts national strategy, Place to Belong and looking at what this might mean for our District and Groups in SWC.
The afternoon session will include a workshop exploring practical strategies for recruiting additional volunteers for your Groups, Sections, and Teams, as well as opportunities to meet with other volunteers working in similar roles to you across the District. This will include Sectional meetings run by the District Programme Team as well as separate gatherings for Trustees and those in support roles.
During the day, members of the District Team will be on hand to answer questions and direct you to any support you might need.
