If you’re a Scouts volunteer in South West Cheshire, here is some useful information about District communications.

Everyone who takes up a volunteering role with any Group or Team in South West Cheshire will automatically have their email address added to our ‘active members’ mailing list. We use this to send out important messages about what’s happening in the District, to advertise District activities and events and to promote programme opportunities for all sections. Some of these communications will be sent to smaller groups of recipients (for example those working with one specific section).

For GDPR reasons, the only email address we’ll use for this purpose is the one you set as your ‘Communication email’ in the MyMembership tool at scouts.org.uk. If you want us to send our emails to a different address, please log on to MyMembership and update your communication email there. We reconcile our mailing list to MyMembership at the end of each month.

We also maintain a public mailing list to share our quarterly newsletters, and other communications with a wider audience of interested people. If you wish to add your email address to our public mailing list, please subscribe using the below form.

All our emails will always contain an ‘unsubscribe’ link so you can choose to remove your email from the mailing list at any time should you wish. Once unsubscribed, we can’t re-add your address to the list.
